  1. Hey Tony,

Thinking about getting your F1 program. Really want to but money’s tight with a 15 month old and hospital bills.

Number 1 question I have is how do you flip cars legally without jumping titles, without dealer license (as I’ve heard in couple of your videos). I’ve heard few rumors that law enforcement is cracking down around that’s parts (in Colorado).

    Thanks in advance.

    • hey Caleb, great question.

This is the main secret sauce that I cover in the course. lol. There is a way to do it legally. You can do 5-7 under your name per year (don’t quote me) some States are different.

Sometimes I think people are just too afraid. There is no law saying how many cars you can own. Look at Jay Lenno or any other car collector for that matter.

If you decide to sell one is that illegal? I think not. But you shouldn’t have to go out and get a dealers license when just starting out anyway. Get your feet wet first, flip a few cars, make some real money. Then think about expanding.

Some guys just like to stay low…

Be cool and thanks for asking your question. I think you would really get a kick out of the F1 course and a whole lot more! If you ever join, I’ll see you inside!

  3. Hey Tony, I really enjoy and appreciate your videos. ive been really wondering how can you let people test drive the car you’re selling safely? Since the car will have no insurance or plates what should I do? God forbid anyone gets into a accident. Yeah I can put on my Personal plates but I don’t think this is wise. Thanks in advance.

    • hey Kenny!

I usually just let them drive it. Let them take it around the block in less crowded neighborhoods. WHat’s the worst that can happen besides from killing somebody? If a cop pulled you over, your selling the car. You just canceled the insurance and it is being sold.. Out of all of the cars I’ve sold this has never been an issue.

Most times the car can be insured anyway. Some insurance companies will cover you if you are buying a used car for a period of 30 days even before you call it in. Yes really. Check. Most people don’t even know about this and is one of the tips in my F1 Course.

I hope this helps. In all, you just need to do it and stop worrying about the small things. It’s what separates the average from the great.

Look at Apple and Microsoft. They release software with bugs in it all the time. When the end users report problems, then they fox it. Just do it.

      Hope that helps!

  4. Question for ya, I’ve always been interested in cars and have some mechanical knowledge. The few days I’ve been searching around the car flipping business and came across your youtube channel than your website. I know the whole deal with checking KBB for values and also I searched for the most used car sales. Which are Honda, Toyota and F150s, in my state at least. When I find a vehicle on Craigslist and I like what I see, should I negotiate before even seeing the car? How should I start the negotiation? Thanks and I’ll look into the F1 program.

    Reply
    • hey Edis! NOPE. You can get a general idea. Like ask them is they are negotiable. But I would NOT negotiate without looking at the car. It shows that you are NOT serious. When people do that to me, I say “how can you make me an offer without looking at the car?” Bring cash, then negotiate. That’s when you’ll score the BEST deals. You need to be FAST. Good luck man! • hey Chuck. You need more to start. If you are smart you would start with proper instruction before you start to lose your shirt. I would save up a little more, then start. Ideally, get F1 learn from it, then flip cars. The choice is yours. Be cool Chuck.

  5. Hello my question is are you finding it increasingly more difficult to find vehicles at auction for a reasonable price (where there is still room for sufficient profit). Most of the vehicles I have been bidding on lately have gone over the Kelly Blue Book Private party value. My theory is that used car dealers are able to pay much more for vehicles since they are able to finance and therefore make money that way. I know that there is also a shortage of vehicles in the used car market.

    Thanks for your time!

  6. Regarding the selling of vehicles without a dealers license; if you exceed the maximum number of vehicles allowed in the 12-month period of time per your state statutes, you will receive an official letter from the DMV enforcement section instructing you to cease and assist from selling any additional vehicles or you will be charged criminally if you don not stop. It is correct to say that you can purchase as many vehicles as you want, you just are limited to the number of vehicles that you sell in a 12-month consecutive period of time

    • That is, if you exceed the maximum number of vehicles registered in YOUR name. I still know guys who register 4-5x the state limit and have been doing so for years without any issue. I assume it depends on the state. This doesn’t include all of the guys who title jump, but that’s another story.

  7. Hey Tony,

I have been wanting to try this for a long time but I live in small town North Dakota and it just seems like it would be tough here. My biggest problem is getting the small stuff fixed. I have a hard time finding cheap and good guys around here for easy repairs. How do I not get killed on repairs?

    Reply
    • Not a hard hurdle. You can learn the basics yourself. It’s not hard. Oil changes, light break work. Light tune ups. If you need to. You can also get cars that don’t need much repairs. When I first started I always thought that I hed to get cars that needed work. That’s not the case. You can just look for cars that need minor cosmetics. A detail or something and resell for profit. You need to change the way you look at cars that you want to buy. I actually cover this in the foundation of the F1 course. It’s also a mindset. If you want to get into light auto body work that will also be a great skill to have. Not only to fix cars, but also to make money.

  8. Hey Tony, I bought your Course and I read the whole thing and i’m really excited to start after I save some more money to start flipping. I live in NYC so you could say i’m in a pretty dam good area for car flipping. The only problem i have is i don’t really understand fully the paperwork that has to be done for each car you buy. I know when you buy a car you have to get the title from the previous owner but im not sure what do next? Do i bring the title to the dmv and tell them i bought the vehicle or do i just sell it without the dmv’s notification to the next owner who wants to buy the car from me. Also, do i have to get the car to receive a state inspection when i buy it before i put it back on the market?

Thanks for everything Tony, your the man!

    • hey Zander. Glad to see you as an ‘F1 insider’ now!

If your inspection is up to date, the you don’t need another inspection. That’s how it is in many states anyway. I would give the DMV a quick call just to make sure. As far as title flipping, I do not recommend it, but people do it all day long. You’ll be able to flip more that way too because your name will not be on file. Talk a lot more about this in the F1 Audio Book. You may wan to listed to that audio file. Good luck and keep rocking. Remember we are here if you need support! Just Go Here.

  10. Tony,
Are the auto body repair videos included in the f1 course or is that a separate fee? Also do you find that you make better profits when you put in the extra time to pull out a dent or paint a bumper ect…?

    Reply
    • hey Chris,

They are two separate courses. Of course. You can make greater profits if you can do repairs yourself. That is the way to do it for sure! I also offer combo deals if you want both courses at once. Thank you for your interest Chris

  11. Do you title each vehicle in your name? If so, you have to pay the sales tax on it, correct? I only ask b/c I didn’t see it figured into your ROI calculations.

Any tips/ideas on how to handle the sales tax issue are greatly appreciated – thanks!

    • hey Coy,

Most times you will want to buy cars with all taxes paid. Then it may be $10-$60 to transfer the title into your name. If you know that a car has high taxes, then you’ll want to take that off the purchase amount when you buy.

  12. Hey Tony i ordered the formula 1 book and the only question i have is how do i avoid a case such as i bought a car and sold it to someone and within a weeks period they come to me because the car has had an problem i knew nothing about. do i tell them “to bad ” or do i get lenient and give them money how do i avoid this situation.

    Reply
    • It’s too bad in my book. I mean, all buyers have the right to a full inspection before purchase. You have no responsibility to what happens to a vehicle when out of your possession. How do you know what they’ve done to the car? The best way to cover your butt is to have a good bill of sale written. Did you see a copy of it within the course? Also, try to sell good cars. Not ones that you know have a heck of a lot of problems. I know sometimes you need to get rid of a car, but try to keep it to a limit…

We want to sell good cars and create a WIN WIN situation. Be cool man!

  13. Hey Tony,

If I buy a car and it just sits in my driveway, other than stops at a gas station, auto detailer, and a buyer test drive, do you recommend getting insurance on it just to stay on the safe side or just risk it and drive the speed limit.

    Thanks,
    Nick

    • hey Nick! That is a VERY good question. A lot of people do just that. Risk it. 🙂 Some insurance companies insure you for 30 days on a new used car that you purchase.

  14. Hi Tony,
All the cars i find on Craigslist in the $1500 range are mostly older in the 1994-1998 range. i have flipped a few cars already not spending more than $1000 on them but they are few and far between. How do I find cars each week under $1000 that i can flip and make $400-$500 off of?

    • You need to keep scouting for deals. Use other online sites, birddogs, eyes open on the streets, cars wanted ads etc… Did you get my bikini report and read it to see how we can further help you and find, sell more deals?
