In this video, I will tell you why people fail at buying and selling cars for profit.
People who fail in buying and selling cars are those who are afraid to fail. This failure is not just associated with buying and selling cars for profit but is also associated with their everyday life.
It makes them unsuccessful because they don’t know what they want and they don’t know what to do. So, they don’t get started because they’re afraid to make mistakes.
They don’t know where to get good deals, they don’t know how to negotiate and how to do title transfers. They get so hung up with a lot of these little things that they don’t get started.
A lot of people come to me and ask, “Tony, I want to sell ten to twenty cars a month. I want to make fifteen to twenty thousand dollars a month by flipping cars for profit. Can you course teach me how to do that?”
Here’s my answer, “Absolutely! I can give you the tools you need. But have you ever bought and sold a car before? Have you ever profited in selling cars and motorcycles before?”
Don’t think so far ahead if you haven’t taken the first step. The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.
Instead of overcomplicating things, you just need to take the first step. Go out and find a good deal. Then, worry about those other things later.
The only way to be successful is to take action and do something. You need to go out and find a good deal on a car. Start saving if you don’t have money to invest.
You only need two thousand dollars to get started. Even less if you get lucky and find a good deal through word of mouth. Sometimes, you get a pretty cheap car for a couple of hundred bucks.
In our school system, every time students do something wrong in class, they get punished or get a bad grade. This emotionally affects the students as they get older. By the time they reach their twenties, they fear failure and don’t want to take risks.
Successful people are those who don’t fear failure. They think out of the box, get out of their comfort zone and take risks. They make mistakes but learn from it. They get up and keep going.
That’s my #1 tip for the day: Eradicate the fear of failure.
I tell this to my daughter all the time. Failing is okay, you just learn a little bit more and get better. You have to be wise. If you don’t learn, you’ll just repeat the same mistakes.
