How To Buy And Sell Cars Common Questions

Hey! What’s going on!

This is another part of the How To Buy And Sell Cars Common Questions video series that I’m doing.

I have a bunch of questions from subscribers about buying and selling cars for profit. And how you can make money as fast as this week by getting a car that’s a good deal, sprucing it up and flipping it and making a few thousand dollars profit if you do the things correctly.

Sometimes you’re going to lose money if you don’t do the things correctly.  But I’m here to guide you and make sure that you become successful.

Here’s one question.

“Hey Tony, believe it or not I think about flipping every single day.  Your videos are very inspirational and I understand failure and making mistakes is a part of the game.  But my biggest fear is failure and falling flat on my face.  I actually know a few people who do a little freelance car flipping and they do it very, very well.  And I know I can do it with your techniques.  I know I can really go far but something always holds me back for some reason.  I actually have a pretty good job but at the end of the day I feel like I’m not making enough cash.  Then there’s also anxiety of losing the job for whatever reason since it’s not a union job.  This month, I will actually have enough money saved in order to start investing in your program and cars.  I really am ready to start kicking some butt.  And I will look to you for mentorship.  By the way, I guess my biggest question is, I live in an apartment, with only street parking.  Where would be a good place to store and work on my cars until they’re in selling condition?  Storage locker maybe?” – Jared Goens

Alright, Jared.  So, thanks for the cool little words of inspiration for me to keep making these videos for you guys.  Well, I actually have quite a few people starting from, living in like a college dorm and apartments with no real place to work on.

Don’t be afraid of judging yourself and saying, “I’m only in a garage.  I’m only in an apartment. I don’t have a garage.  I can’t work on my cars well.  “

You do what you have to do with what you have.

You see people on the street working on cars all the time.  If you have to pull your car into your apartment complex, I’m sure there’s a place where you can wash it up, clean it up and detail it.  Who’s going to bug you on that?

Do the things that you have to do.  It’s better to ask forgiveness than ask for permission sometimes.  Sometimes just do it.

If the security guards or somebody starts getting on your nerves.  Just say “Hey, dude.  I’m just trying to fix my car here. “

What’s the worst they can do, okay?

Fear holds everybody back.  Fear puts everybody into a procrastination zone.  The most successful people actually mastered getting over fear.  They kind of controlled it and put it toward the back of their mind.

Of course, everybody has fear.  Some people toward work, some people about the economy or what’s going on in the world.  There’s a lot of things you can be fearful about.  But you have to control it.  You can’t let it control your life.  There’s only so much you can do.

A good way to get over fear is putting yourself in the worst case scenario and say to yourself, “What’s the worst that can happen?”

It’s not going to be that bad.  Look up to the sky and force yourself to be positive and just do it because if you don’t do it, nothing’s going to happen.  That’s one of my biggest things.

If you’re in an apartment, go to the curb and work on your car there.  Do what you got to do.  I’m not suggesting that you go get cars that need engine replacements anyway.  You want to get cars that need minimal work.

And this is what I teach you in this step-by-step F1 AutoCashFormula – How To Buy And Sell Cars Course.

I take you through all of these things during the 8-week video trainings.

And I show this to you step-by-step… What to do if you’re in this situation, what to do if you’re in that situation, how to buy cars correctly, how not to get lemon cars, how to get cars that only need minimal work, that you can just pick up, detail, quick spruce, maybe do a tune-up, but maybe not do a tune-up!

It’s better to do as least as possible and make your money, okay?

Here’s the next question.

“How do I sell cars on e-Bay or any platform without owning it?”

So if you don’t own the car, you can actually go to whoever needs your help in selling the car and tell them, “Hey, give me 15% of whatever you get for it, or 10%….” Whatever the deal is.

You work out a deal where you get the guy’s car, have him sign the title and you sell it for them.  You do the advertising.

You can also list it on e-Bay and sell it that way.  Just have all the vehicle information and list it on e-Bay.

It’s really not hard to do.  If you can sell a $5000 car and you make 10%… that’s 500 bucks. At 15%, that’s 750 bucks.

You can even work a deal where the guy may say, “Hey, look I’ll give you 1000 bucks if you sell my car for me”.

This is what I also cover in great detail within the F1 AutoCashFormula course.

On weeks 7 and 8, I get into advertising and how to drive hoards of people to your ads and get tons of people calling you and just cash on hand, ready to buy your car.

So many people are doing it wrong because they’re not sales people.  All these people on the internet selling cars are just average people, just like your neighbor trying to sell these cars.

But not you! Once you learn these strategies, you’re going to be able to know how to list and sell these cars properly.  And get a lot more bites on your deal, you know what I mean?

It’s super easy! I will show you how to do that all in the course.

Next question.

“How do I find cars for under 5 grand because I live in a lower income area? If you have the capital, is it easier, better, harder to make money with later model cars?”

Well, that’s easy to do.  I’ll show you exactly where to go and how to get deals for under 5 grand.  For a couple hundred dollars, spruce ‘em up and make a thousand and two thousand dollars per car flip.

I suggest selling cars 5-10 years old.  More toward 10 years old.  So with a 2004-2007 car, you’re going to be able to get that reasonable amounts, negotiating through private parties.

And you’ll be able to sell them quicker because they are not super old.  Unless there’s this super high demand.    Like 90’s and early 2000 trucks.  They sell like hotcakes.  People just love 4-cylinder, even 6-cylinder pick-up trucks.  Toyotas, Nissans, even Chevys.

What I find is, if you sell cars for under the 10-thousand dollar mark, you get a lot more people buying cars cash… and that’s what you want to do… even a certified check is fine.

But once you get over 10000, 12000, 13000 dollars… You’re going to get a lot less people that are interested because cash is tight right now.

Of course you can sell ‘em.  I got a couple of $10,000 cars.  You’re just going to be dealing with a different market.

You are going to sell them.  It may take a little longer, maybe a couple weeks longer to sell those cars.  You know the higher you go, the longer it’s going to take.  If you have $20000, $25000 or $50000 cars, of course it’s going to take longer, because most likely 80% of people buying them are going to go through financing and you’re going to have to go through steps with that.

You’re going get a loan, you’re going to have a VIN number, you’re going to get the car checked out, get the loan approved and then they buy your car.  Of course it happens all the time.  But, it’s a little bit more time consuming.

If you want to sell the cars quick and fast, my best bet through my experience is selling cars for under $8000, $7500, $6500 and you know you’ll be in these cars for like 4 grand or 5 grand… maybe even less and make $2000-$3000 on a flip which is great! Because you can sell them fast and make a couple of thousand dollars.  You’re not making a killing but if you do 1, 2 or 3 a month it adds up very quickly.

So that’s the best range that I suggest to sell at.

And of course, if you get the F1 AutoCash Formula 2.0 and join us, I will take you to through the step-by-step process so you know exactly what to do – how to find your deals, how to spruce ‘em out, how to advertise and how to sell.  So you can start making a few extra thousand dollars per month.

Next question.

“I like to buy classic Mustang.  ‘64-’68 and restore them.  The biggest problem is selling them.  They sell for 15 to 17K.  I need to advertise to the right buyer.  The classic cars – Fords cars, Mustangs classifieds, e-Bay classifieds and Craigs, just to name a few… They have sold but need to sell quicker.  And I don’t like auctions.”

Put them on e-Bay and do the “Buy it now” option or make an offer.  This way you don’t have to wait for the auction.  And you can have the “Buy it now” price and just get rid of it that way.

I actually sold a 2004 mini-cooper that I had for almost 2 years now.  I bought it for $8000 and it had 27,100 miles on it when I bought it.

And I just recently sold it for $11,500 on e-Bay.  I put it on e-Bay for 7-day auction and sold it for a “Buy it now” price.  It sold just like that… on the 7th day.

I made $3000 on the car after driving it and playing with it for two years.  Great car!  It had 31,500 miles on when I sold it.

I just sold it yesterday and I made the money.  Got the cashier’s checks.  Pretty cool.

You can make money.  You can do it.  You just have to get a good car.

The reason why I sold it for so much was because it was clean.  I got it from one owner.  I was the second owner on it.  Pretty crazy for a 10-year old car. The car was immaculate, inside and out.  A senior citizen bought it, he flew down from Utah yesterday and picked it up and drove it back home.  He was in love with it when he saw it.  He was a classic car guy, he was a car guy in general.
